Team Swimcap and T-shirt
A team swimcap and team T-shirt is included in your registration fee, and will be given to the swimmer before the first dual meet. Swim Caps are strongly encouraged for all swimmers, regardless of hair length, for all practices and meets. This is to protect your swimmer's hair from the chlorine and to protect the community pool from an overabundance of floating hair. Team T-shirts are to be worn to all dual meets and anywhere else your swimmer is willing to show off their team spirit!
By TSA regulation only Weldon Ridge Barracuda swim caps or solid color caps are allowed at meets. Each swimmer will only be given one cap. Additional caps will be available for purchase.
Team Swimsuit
The cost is EXTRA (not included in your registration fee). The 2026 Team Swimsuit is Rise Splice [Weldon Logo will be added to each suit at vendor for an additional $5]:
Female: $41 + tax
Male Jammers: $36 + tax
This suit is sold through Kiefer Aquatics at 1231 NW Maynard Road (919-439-8678). Swimmers will be able to view, try on and/or purchase their team swimsuit in store only.
Team suits are not required. Your swimmer may wear a plain blue suit to any swim meet. Swimsuits with another swim team logo are not permitted during any competitive swim meet (including local year round teams).
We suggest you have another suit for your child to wear during practices. If your kids wear their team suit every time they come to practice it is unlikely to last the 10 week season.
Goggles
Goggles are also required equipment. The cost is EXTRA (not included in your registration fee). They can be purchased from any sport/swim retailer.
Be sure to put your child's name on all belongings, including swim caps, goggles and t-shirt.
